You're Back! Semester 2, 2009 is here! Welcome!

Welcome Back Kotter!

I can't believe Semester 2 is starting and you have 18 weeks before you graduate! This is all very exciting!

Of course, there will be schoolwork, homework, tests and projects—all which I will try to make fun and interesting (you can help me), and there will also be dances, sports activities, Washington DC trip, fun times before it's all over!

My advice to you all is to enjoy it all—fun and not so fun. This time will fly by and it will be over before you know it...

I will go over what you need to know about this class in a second.

**Heads up! You will be taking the computer Final the next day of class! Yay!

Hello from Macworld 2009

Hi all! How is everybody doing? I noticed there haven't been questions on the blog recently. I do hope that's because you don't have any questions and you are studying so hard!

There are so many cool products and interesting ideas. One of the great things about Macworld is that it gets you to think and it's very inspirational.

• I'm in a conference right now listening to someone talking about the direction of teaching and the 21st century.
• I found new keyboard covers that you will love! It's more like the one I have on my laptop—very comfortable and feels a thousand times better. I'm bringing back a sample.
• New items: New versions of Suite Applications: iWork, iLife, and a update to Leopard.
• No Steve Jobs this year and my friend Woz didn't make it either.
• To drive traffic to the makers of software and hardware hey are having competitions Rockband competition and you can win all kinds of cool things—iPods, iPhones, Computers, vacations... (So far I'm in first place and I just hope Dante F. isn't here at the competition—because he's much better than me—plays guitar and drums at expert!)

Some Questions to get your thinking muscles warmed up:

Do you know what keys you can force the Finder or an Application to quit? Do you know which keys they are? Could you label the keyboard? What must you do first and often when you're working on the computer? What 3 things do you need to know about printing? What 3 things do you need to know about Saving? How do you connect to the Server? What is an Office Suite? What is a Project Gallery?

Today: TTTT and I will hand out reviews for PowerPoint quiz—on Wednesday!
