Interface: A go between. A computing a device or program enabling a user to communicate with a computer.
—a device or program for connecting two items of hardware or software
so that they can be operated jointly or communicate with each other.
Think of an ATM machine—it allows a user to connect to the bank and
make transactions.
Finder—Mr. Smiley Face, the window we find things on our computer in, an application that's always running. The Interface to Mac OSX.
Desktop—the space on your monitor that everything sits on. The working area of a computer screen containing icons representing items such as files and a wastebasket.
Preferences—the way WE would like things to be, how WE prefer them. 3 Examples: System, Finder, Application.
Path—the course or direction, in line to find something.
Naming Conventions—rules associated with assigning a name to an object
