Definitions:

• Context Menu: A pop up drop down menu containing choices of application specific functions using words. (menu bar is one type of context menu, control click)

• Menu Bar: The top bar on Mac Operating System containing choices of application specific functions using words.

• Interface: A go between that allows communication between multiple parties. (ATM, Video game start screen, Finder, etc.

• Dialog box: A pop up box that tries to communicate with the user and requires a response to go away.

• Text Edit: Simple application used to create, modify, or change letters and numbers (text).

• Tabbed Browsing: Managing multiple windows within one window.

Who can post information on the web?

There is so much information posted on the web—where do I start?

How can I narrow my search to be more specific?

I don't want to read through a bunch of articles. Is there a way to view images only?

I have a problem and can't solve it or I want an opinion about something where can I go?

Well, today we will be discussing a web browser and web browsing and maybe answering some of these questions along the way.

• 3 ways of adding a tab: Menu bar under file, command T (keyboard shortcut), control click in Tab area.
